Toronto/Tkoronto is treaty 13 territory of the Mississaugas

of the Credit, the Anishinaabe (people from whence lowered),

 the Haudenosaunee (people of the long house), 

the Petun First Nations (people Among the Hills/Mountains),

and the Wendat (people of the island).

They are the ancestral, traditional and present day 

care takers of these lands and waterways.
